The Harmonist care program for weight loss and metabolic health inside Swell MedicalSteady care. Honest guidance. Growth that feels possible.
To help people pursue weight loss with clinician-led care, practical education, and steady support that honors the whole person behind the goal.
A future where weight-loss care feels less like a transaction and more like a trusted clinical relationship.
MeltOff by Swell Medical gives patients more than a prescription. It gives them a clinician-led path, clear next steps, and care that helps them feel seen, safe, and supported as they grow.
Listen carefully, communicate honestly, and keep clinical judgment at the center of care.
Patients know what is happening, what to expect, what to watch for, and what comes next.
Stay with people through plateaus, side effects, discouragement, resets, and heavy days.
Meet people without shame and without asking them to prove they are worthy of support.
Build healthier habits, steadier thoughts, and a more supportive relationship with the body.
Keep care consult-first, clinically guided, and honest about risks and boundaries.
Dr. Laura Purdy, MD, MBA, created MeltOff for people who are tired of being treated like an order number, a refill, or a before-and-after photograph. Weight loss is real healthcare, and she believes it deserves the same honesty, patience, and relationship people expect from a trusted primary care clinician.
MeltOff makes room for the full story: the plateaus, side effects, restarts, discouragement, family schedules, and habits that have to survive an ordinary Tuesday. Medication may support the body, but it cannot live a person's life for them.
Dr. Laura's role is to help patients understand their options, build a plan they can return to, and keep going without shame when progress becomes difficult. Inside the Swell clinical home, MeltOff offers steady guidance, practical education, and a community where patients do not have to disappear when the process gets hard.
Your clinician may use several tools, depending on your health, preferences, and what is medically appropriate.
Review your health history, weight pattern, goals, and the risks that may affect treatment.
Work on nutrition, movement, sleep, and habits that have to fit the life you actually live.
Discuss weight-management medication when it is medically appropriate, with no promise that it will be prescribed.
Talk through side effects, plateaus, progress, and changes that may call for a different plan.
Weight-management medication can be useful for some people. It is not right for everyone, and a prescription is never guaranteed. Availability may also depend on supply, pharmacy access, and cost.
Ask about benefits, side effects, costs, and alternatives. Your clinician will explain what needs monitoring and help you understand your choices.
Create an account and share what you want help with.
Review your health, goals, fit, and safe options.
Review the recommendation, ask questions, and talk about follow-up.
The screening chat is free. Bring your questions. You don’t need a perfect goal or a decision about medication.
If you’re sick, worried, or just ready to finally take a step for yourself, we’re here.
